English Fun Holiday 2026: Learn English in a Fun and Interactive Way at UNESA Campus 5 in Magetan
The English Literature Study Program at Stae University of Surabaya (UNESA) Campus 5 in Magetan is once again hosting English Fun Holiday 2026, an English language learning program designed to be interactive, fun, and communicative for elementary and middle school students. This three-day event will take place from June 30 to July 2, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WIB, in classrooms on the 4th floor and several other campus areas.
English Fun Holiday 2026 will be attended by 23 participants, consisting of 16 elementary school students and 7 junior high school students. The program aims to help participants improve their English language skills while building self-confidence through a โfun learningโ approach that prioritizes active participant engagement in every activity.
A variety of engaging activities were organized throughout the program, ranging from icebreakers, vocabulary games, sentence building, roleplaying, mini-performances, creative drawing, teamwork challenges, to various other educational games. The activities that participants enjoyed the most were the teamwork exercises and speaking challenges, as they allowed the students to learn while playing with their peers.
This program is under the responsibility of Mr. Imam Hanafi, a lecturer in the English Literature Program at UNESA Campus 5 in Magetan. The implementation of the activities is also supported by English Literature students who serve as concept developers, facilitators, and members of the publication and documentation team. The learning process is guided by lecturers and students who mentor participants in small groups to ensure that learning is more effective and enjoyable.
Participants were selected from 4thโ6th grade elementary school students and 7thโ9th grade middle school students based on the consideration that this age range is the ideal time to develop communication skills, the courage to speak, and self-confidence in using English. Through fun learning methods, participants can learn in a comfortable atmosphere, making the material easier to understand and apply in daily life.
Over the course of the three day program, the participants progress was quite significant. On the first day, some participants still appeared shy and hesitant to speak in English. However, by the second and third days, they began actively asking questions, confidently introducing themselves in English, collaborating with group members, and presenting in front of their peers.
The event concluded on the final day after the entire series of lessons and activities had been completed. All participants received a Certificate of Completion as a token of appreciation for their participation. In addition, the organizing committee also presented various prizes and awards to participants who were active, enthusiastic, and demonstrated significant progress throughout the event.
Through English Fun Holiday 2026, the English Literature Program at UNESA Campus 5 in Magetan hopes to continue fostering an interest in learning English from an early age, strengthen ties with the community, and introduce the English Literature Program as a program that actively makes tangible contributions through ongoing educational activities.
